I was delighted that you shared your book, "Using FOUR Letter Words in a Positive Way Going Fourword" with me. The book was very helpful and inspiration for me as a educator. As a Academically Gifted and Exceptional Children teacher, the book help me to focus on having a positive attitude and productivity each day to my classroom setting. I continuously used the words Able, Kind, Love, Good, Best in my classroom with my students. These words helped me to develop a framework for learning and provide a nurturing environment. It has helped my student leave all the negative aspects outside the classroom and focus more on academic achievement. These same words has not only helped my students but have helped bring a positive work environment to my fellow co-workers.
I highly recommend this book to new and veteran teachers. "Going Fourword" will help with classroom management, encourage struggling students, reduce bullying, socialization, build character and promote leadership skills. As a middle school teacher, I often help students deal with peer pressure as they enter their preteen phase of life. The book is overall a great resource for coping with the many challenges that we all face in life.

"Through thick and thin, Mr. Thornton Howard, III has successfully motivated the toughest clients to think positively about their day and future using four-letter words! Our Boy's Book Club at Hidden Valley Elementary School in Charlotte, NC used his book Using Four-Letter Words in a Positive Way as the guide to practice good behaviors that lead to success.
Two words: It worked! Mr. Howard's use of rap to reach the ears of today's youth is ingenious. His presence in our school and community is the kind of grassroots approach that will continue to minister to the hearts and minds of the students who need it most."

Thornton Howard III's "Going FourWord" mentoring booklet was a tremendous benefit to our mentoring program this year. The powerful, yet simple, messages of each mini-lesson provided an avenue for our mentors to discuss essential traits with our young men and support their growth in both academics and the life skills necessary to be successful in school and beyond.
I highly recommend this booklet as a tool for anyone looking to deliver a strong message of encouragement and empowerment to today's young people.

Mr. Howard introduced the Going Fourword booklet to my administrator last year. The relevant exercises and real life applications provided a true platform for engaging conversations with our youth. We shared updates with parents and also encouraged the boys to “dress for success” on Fridays. As a result of full implementation, discipline referrals for these boys dropped significantly. The self-esteem of each member also improved. I would encourage anyone working with middle schoolers to consider investing in this [Going Fourword] program!

I am writing in regards to Mr. Thornton Howard. He was a guest speaker at our Above and Beyond Students After school required parent meeting.
He spoke life into about 55 parents. His topic was Four Letter words. The parents were engaged and they left awesome remarks on their parent surveys. I have known Mr. Howard for over 17 years he taught at MLK Middle School where my son was a student. For years he has been an advocate for children and families who cannot speak for themselves.
I look forward to having him speak at all of Above and Beyond Student sites throughout the Charlotte area.
Sincerely,
